Mello is a FREE mental health app designed specifically for young Australians by researchers at Orygen Digital within the University of Melbourne.
For young people struggling with anxiety and depression, Mello is an evidence-based app designed specifically to support the mental health of young minds. Made for real-life, Mello offers practical tools to help you get out of your head & on with your day—anytime, anywhere.
HOW MELLO WORKS
Mello works by helping you to tackle the root cause of anxiety and depression — stuck thinking. Whether you’re worried about a looming deadline, stewing over an argument with a friend, or just having one of those off days, Mello is your guide to breaking free the endless loop of negative thinking.
Based on practical, science-backed techniques like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mello has been developed by psychologists and researchers alongside young people to offer effective clinical solutions that work.
Mello helps you develop the skills required to proactively manage your mental health by suggesting the most effective evidence-based activities to offer you in-the-moment relief from stuck thinking. Through regular check-ins, therapy exercises and short-courses, youll begin to develop an understanding of your mental health patterns and how to make beneficial long-term changes.
